Supported Platforms

The Consult Mode and Playlist Preview features are only supported on the web browsers listed below, dependent on the device you are using to access the MySecurePractice portal:

Consult Mode

Consult mode gives you the ability to use any playlist chair side with your patient to help promote patient education about the given problem and procedure needed.

If you would like to create a new playlist just for Consult Mode, click here to create a playlist first.

Creating a Consult Playlist

In most instances, you will want to have a unique shorter playlist for Consult Mode. You can create multiple playlists (no max limit), and they can be specific for each consultation you typically have (for example):

Dental Implants
Invisalign

PBHS Shared Playlists

Additionally, PBHS has prebuilt consultation silent animations (per procedure), which you or PBHS Support can add the shared playlists to your account at anytime. Click here for further information.

**Consult mode works best with MP4 and images. Although you can include YouTube videos in your unique shorter playlist for Consult Mode, they may play ads over the YouTube video which PBHS cannot remove or control in any way.

Once you have your playlists created, you are now ready to use Consult Mode.

Activating Shared Playlist(s)

PBHS has shared playlists that you can choose to activate or deactivate at anytime. These are shorter, silent dental animations and images that help facilitate patient education and case acceptance during your patient consultation.

Once you login
Select the Silent Partner TV icon from your dashboard
On the ADA TV management page, scroll down to the section labeled Shared Playlists:
Select the Actions drop down on the selected Shared Playlist you would like to activate:
Within the drop down, select the Add option:
A pop-up will appear, asking you to confirm this action- select the OK button to continue:
This will move the selected PBHS Shared Playlist, to your Active Playlist section:

Now you can use this new playlist during Consult Mode and/or with your Consult User!!

Accessing Consult Mode

Once you've created your shorter procedure based playlist, you can now login and access those playlists through Consult Mode. Although you can use your normal login to access Consult Mode, it is NOT advised if you are leaving this iPad/Computer with the patient unintended. With this login, they can potentially navigate and access other PHI information within products like truForm, SecureMail and Collaborator.

*PBHS RECOMMENDATION*

PBHS has the ability to create a Consult ONLY user, which will allow you to login directly to Consult Mode section of your MySecurePractice account, which is the ONLY access this user will have (you are locked down to the consult mode page only).

This will allow you to leave the tablet/computer with the Patient (as this user is locked down), ensuring your PHI stays secure and locked!

Once you login, you are directed right to Consult Mode with just one click, perfect for a quick access in the middle of a consultation.

Once you login
Select the Silent Partner TV icon from your dashboard
Within the Playlists in account: section, select the Actions drop down menu of the playlist you would like to view in Consult Mode
Select Consult
Your playlist will appear, and should auto start playing the first item within your playlist:
- The playlist will auto play from start to finish, and will auto loop back to the start of the playlist once it reaches the bottom (unless you have auto play turned OFF, then the video will need to be selected from the playlist in order to play).

Consult Mode User

PBHS Support can create a separate user in your account, which only has access to the Consult Mode section of your MySecurePractice Account. You would still need to login directly to https://mysecurepractice.com from any supported platform/browser, and then Consult Mode would open directly.

While in a consultation, this user login can be used to access Consult Mode quickly, and also gives you the ability to confidently leave a tablet/computer or device with the patient (without any concerns about them accessing other secure portions of your MySecurePractice account).

We can modify an existing email user already in your account (note this will remove all other admin access from this user), or you can provide a new email address to create the Consult Mode user.

Once your Consult Mode user is registered, login
This will bring you directly into Consult Mode

Auto Play Setting

You now have the ability to set your playlist's auto play to ON or OFF. By default it will be turned ON.

Auto Play ON - this will automatically play each video/image within your playlist from the top to the bottom. By default, this setting will be ON (and can be changed at anytime by the user).
Auto Play OFF - this will turn OFF auto play, and you will need to click to play each item needed within your playlist to the RIGHT. Once auto play is turned off, it will stay at this setting until you turn it back on.

Located at the top of your playlist, directly under the Playlist Title (click to turn ON or OFF):

Play & Pause

Please note, you will only see this option for MP4 Videos (you cannot play and pause with any youtube videos or images).

You can pause and play the video in two ways:

YOUTUBE VIDEOS: Click directly on the video in the area highlighted below each time to pause or play:
MP4 VIDEOS: Use the pause and play buttons below the video playing:
- While the video is playing, you can pause the video at anytime by selecting the Pause button highlighted below:
  
  *Note, this may look a bit different dependent on the browser you are viewing Consult Mode in.
- While the video is paused, you can play the video at anytime by selecting the Play button highlighted below:

Fullscreen

You can view Full screen on any media item within your list. You can exit Full screen at anytime, or continue playing the playlist from start to finish within playlist.

While viewing your media item below, select the FULLSCREEN option located directly below/center of the media preview window
This will maximize your media item to full screen, and continue to play your playlist from star to finish
Press the ESC key located on your keyboard, this will bring you back to your media preview and playlist:

Next & Previous Options

You can skip to the next or previous video at anytime within the video preview and playlist view below.

You can use the "PREVIOUS" and "NEXT" buttons directly below your video preview to move through your playlist as needed:
- Previous will play the media item directly before the current media item you are previewing
- Next will play the media item directly after the current media item you are previewing
- Additionally, you can directly select the media item you want to play within the playlist to the RIGHT:

Playlist Selection within Consult Mode

You can change you playlist at anytime within Consult Mode. Note, the playlist will only appear if it is a active (unarchived) playlist.

Select the select \/ drop down, located in your upper right hand corner:
This will display ALL playlists you have active, now select the playlist you would like to use in consult mode - this will bring you to the playlist selected:
- If you choose not to go to a different playlist, you can click directly on the "select \/", which will bring you back to your current media preview and playlist view.
If you do click directly on the playlist you would like use, this will open the Media preview and playlist view for that playlist selected:

Exit Consult Mode

*Please note, you will NOT see the Exit button if you are logged into a Consult Mode user. The only option will be to log-out of the portal.

Select the EXIT button directly below your media preview window:
This will take you back to your Manage Silent Partner page:
