ADA TV: Facebook Integration

Follow

The ADA TV will stream your important social media posts into your waiting room.  If you would like to connect your account to Facebook, please follow the instructions below.

In the past, Facebook allowed any Facebook credentials to access your posts to display.  Now they have updated their policy, and the connection needs to be made by a user that is an ADMIN on your Facebook business account.

In this section, we will go over the following:

  1. Locating your Facebook Business Page Admin User
  2. Connecting to Facebook (I'm not logged into Facebook)
  3. Connecting to Facebook (I'm logged into Facebook)
  4. Test Facebook Connection
  5. What Will My Facebook Image Post Look Like on ADA TV
  6. Delete Facebook Connection
  7. There is no Facebook Settings Button

Locating your Facebook Business Page Admin User

In order to connect your Business Facebook page to ADA TV, you must use your Admin user connected to your Business Facebook page.

The Facebook API we utilize for this connection is going through more privacy restrictions.  They will no longer allow us to utilize public data using any credentials, it needs to be an admin user connected to the account we are utilizing public data from.

  1. Login to the Facebook Account that is connected to your business account
  2. Navigate to your Facebook Business Page from your personal Facebook page
  3. Select the "Settings" option towards the top of your page:

  4. On the land hand column, select "Page Roles":
    1. Select "Assign a New Page Role", if you want to add a new Facebook user as an admin
    2. Select "Existing Page Roles" to review who has admin access currently

  5. Use the "Admin" role username and password within ADA TV Portal to connect your Facebook business posts to your ADA TV Device:
