The Closed Captions will only display for YouTube videos ONLY. This can be turned on or off at anytime.
Note: This will only enable closed captioning for YouTube videos that have closed captions available (cc will display in the language the video is playing in). This does not include YouTube's automatic captions -- as these captions are automatically generated, and often include many errors and inconsistencies.
In this section we will go over the following:
Turning Closed Captioning ON
- Navigate to the Device Setting Page.
- Select the checkbox labeled Closed Captioning For YouTube:
- Once checked, select the Save button in the top RIGHT hand corner:
- You will need to Re-sync your app in order for the changes to update live
*If you don't want to re-sync your device now, your device will automatically re-sync every 24hrs. (and you will see the updated setting changes then).
Turning Closed Captioning OFF
- Navigate to the Device Setting Page.
- Unselect the checkbox labeled Closed Captioning For YouTube:
- Once unchecked, select the Save button in the top RIGHT hand corner:
- You will need to Re-sync your app in order for the changes to update live
